How I Help You
As a Licensed Midwife with over 30 years experience serving families in Upstate SC, I offer safe and family centered prenatal, birthing, and postpartum care. After beginning our relationship with a meet and greet, I am committed to your health and the wellbeing of your growing family, available whenever needed throughout your entire pregnancy as well as after giving birth. I will be there to provide you with continuous emotional and physical support, and answer any and all questions you may have.
Postpartum Care

Get extra personal support throughout the entirety of your birthing journey. As a Midwife, I promise to offer unwavering support to you and your family before, during, and after birth. I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and offer anything needed.

From our initial meeting all the way through your pregnancy and delivery, I take the time to get to know you, your concerns and your needs. I’m always available to contact by phone/email throughout and will provide everything you require to make sure your experience is as calm and positive as possible.

Susan is an exceptional midwife! I have known her over 23 years and have been a client of hers 5 times over the course of 12 years. She is extremely professional and the level of care she gives her clients is thorough with excellent bedside manner. Through all 5 of my pregnancies she has cared for my entire well being; well beyond the pregnancy and baby. My appointments always lasted close to an hour or longer and I always felt such peace after each visit.
My last delivery required an unexpected transfer to the hospital where she remained with me. She was encouraging and so supportive the entire time.

Susan is amazing! With my first child I had planned on delivering at a birth center but after a very long labor and baby not dropping she felt it was time to transfer. When we transferred she stayed by my side the entire time and helped be my voice when I was so exhausted. I was still able to have my baby vaginally and without her or my husband the hospital would have done a c section immediately. With my second child we decided on a home birth. Susan was amazing again and throughout my pregnancy helped me get over the birth trauma of my first and deal with some personal issues. She wasn't just my midwife she was my friend! We had an amazing homebirth and thankfully she arrived 20 minutes before my son was born! (Totally my fault as I didn't believe I was in active labor and delayed calling). I absolutely love her and highly recommend her to anyone considering a natural birth!
